We come from a place where the future tends to arrive late. Not badly — late. The tools that quietly reorganise how everyone else works reach us as rumours first, screenshots second, and finally as something a cousin abroad tries to describe over a bad line.

What keeps them away was never the intelligence. The models are extraordinary and they are already here, sitting in data centres that will happily answer anyone who can reach them. What stands in the way is smaller and duller than that: an app store, a handset with enough memory, a bundle that outlives the first paragraph, a signal that holds, a language the thing was taught to hear. Not one of those is a hard problem. Together they are a closed door.

The usual phrase for this is bridging the digital divide — as though the work were carrying people across to where the technology happens to be standing. We think the bridge points the wrong way. It was easier, and it seems fairer, to walk the technology back to the side where nearly everyone already lives.

So we build to a short set of rules. Go to where people already are — a number they have carried for years, a thread they open without thinking — rather than asking them to fetch an app and a tutorial first. Expect the network to fail, because it will, and make sure the work survives the gap and finishes when the signal comes back. Charge for what was actually done, never for the attempt. And take it as a verdict on us, not on them, if anyone needs teaching.

That is the platform: agents you can talk to the way you would text a person, and a marketplace where they can be found. Underneath it sits the part developers care about — routing, identity, channels, and the unglamorous work of making a message land somewhere that guarantees nothing.

We are early. Some of this runs today, some is still being written, and we would rather tell you which is which than let you discover it. But the layer between intelligence and the people who need it will not appear on its own, and waiting for someone else to build it has never once worked in our favour.
